For Eastern and Mid-South Rivers

These twelve flies are specially selected to entice smallmouth when the water runs clear, a common situation on rivers in the East and the Mid-South regions of the country. When rivers run extra clear, smallmouth are often interested in smaller flies and colors different than what’s best in turbid water.

This selection includes most of our newest patterns. The flies were rigorously tested on various rivers in Pennsylvania and Maine over the past 3 years by Tim Holschlag and others.

The Clearwater Selection includes one Olive Holschlag Hare, two Ghost Minnows, one Chartreuse/Yellow Minnow, one Lefty’s Red & White, one White Shenks Streamer, two Black Shenks Streamer, one Murdich Minnow, one Dan’s Sliding Diver, one Yellow Bitty Blockhead, one Li’l Pete.
